This is only a suggested list. Every camp-out is different, every camp site has it’s own rules.
Camp Tahuya, for example only allows fishing during their fishing tournaments.
During the Extraordinary drought of 2011 the burn ban at many places, from Williamson county parks, to scout camps all over included smoking and propane stoves. Essentially, anything that can cause a spark.
What NOT to bring: For your safety and the safety of others!
- Pets
- Liquor / alcoholic beverages of any type.
- Electronic Games
- Liquid fuel lanterns or stoves
- Electronic Music
- Expensive items
- Computers
- Guns and ammunition (BBs / Archery equipment included)
- Skateboards
- In-line skates
- Scooters
- Fireworks
What to bring:
- Personal toiletries including soap, tooth brush and tooth paste
- Water cup or bottle
- Pillow
- Towel and wash cloth
- Cot or air mattress
- Personal tent (there is plenty of room for personal tents)
- Hat to shed rain and sun
- Sunscreen/Insect repellent
- Swimsuit (warm weather) and extra towel
- Pool shoes or water socks to wear in pool
- Change of clothes and extra socks and shoes.
- Uniform? (determined by pack) usually wear on trip and to supper
- Sleeping bag or Sheets (depending on weather)
- Pillow
- Raincoat
- For cold weather: jacket or coat , Gloves ,Stocking cap ,Extra blankets
- Shoes (with enclosed toe) (extra pair if wet weather is expected)
- Fishing pole and bait (if you want to) Catch & Release Only , no license required
- Bicycle and bike helmet (not for BMX) Ok to ride all over camp but not around building walkways.

- Recommend camp chairs of adults for campfire.
- BSA Medical Forms / Health form (permission to treat)
